Lego doc builds sales across Europe

Broadcasters in Scandinavia and Europe have picked up primetime documentary The Secret World of Lego from UK distributor Cineflix Rights.

The one-hour special was presold to TV2 in Denmark, TV5 in Finland and Norway’s NRK, and subsequently sold into more than 16 countries including National Geographic Channel US, Foxtel Australia, RTL Netherlands, Discovery-owned Kanal 5 in Sweden, Discovery Poland, and TV New Zealand.

The Waddell Media show gives viewers an insight into Lego headquarters and follows two adult fans hoping to transform their love for the building product into cash. The show first aired on Channel 4 (C4) in the UK in June.

Meanwhile, Cineflix has acquired Waddell’s follow-up special The Christmas World of Lego, which is due to air this year on C4.
