Leftfield names first CCO

ITV Studios-owned Leftfield Entertainment has hired the former CEO of Ryan Seacrest Productions (RSP) as its first chief creative officer.

Adam Sher will oversee the US company’s four production outfits: Leftfield Pictures, Sirens Media, Loud TV and Outpost Entertainment, reporting to CEO Brent Montgomery.

Based at Leftfield’s LA offices, which he will help expand, Sher will also develop strategic partnerships and oversee talent recruiting.

Sher left RSP in 2013 after a five-year stint as CEO that saw the firm grow into a major producer of unscripted series. Among his exec producer credits are Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution from ABC and Bravo’s Shahs of Sunset.

Leftfield was acquired by UK commercial broadcaster ITV for US$360m in May last year, as part of ITV’s continuing expansion stateside.

This month, Loud TV hired Jordan Hochman, senior VP of programming from sister firm Leftfield Pictures.

A week earlier, Leftfield Pictures promoted veteran unscripted production executive Heath Banks to the role of chief operating officer and made two new development appointments.
