Latvia back in love with Lucy

MTG TV Latvia is bringing back a local version of classic US series I Love Lucy after a 16-year hiatus.

The adaptation, titled Darling Monika, will run for another 10 episodes on MTG-owned channel LNT this month following a deal with CBS Studios International.

I Love Lucy began on CBS in 1951 and was one of the most watched shows on US television. It continues to be distributed worldwide in dozens of languages.

Darling Monika follows the life of a woman, her patient and loving husband Robert and their neighbours. The show first aired 16 years ago but the reboot will feature the same cast.
