The fledgling company from former Nickelodeon UK exec Tim Patterson has come on board a CG animated TV series and app about a young female inventor.

Larkshead Media, which launched last month, will seek investment and international distribution opportunities for Alfi (52×7′), beginning at BLE and Mipcom in Cannes next week.

The company was founded by Patterson, who left Nickelodeon last August, to help producers in programme development and planning, brand strategy, investment, licensing, merchandising and international distribution.

The series follows the exploits of young inventor and all-round problem solver Alfi and her trusted sidekick Jack. It is accompanied by iOS and Android ‘app-isodes’ and comes from UK prodco Cube Entertainment.

Other projects on Larkshead’s slate of children’s IP projects include CBeebies and Snapper Productions’ series Q Pootle 5 as well as Planet Wrong, which is currently in development with Aubergine Films and Melwood Pictures.
