Lambert runs with Scilly idea

All3Media-owned indie Studio Lambert has optioned a police officer’s memoir, The Life of a Scilly Sergeant, as it continues its push into the drama space.

The memoirs document life on the isolated Isles of Scilly, an archipelago 28 miles off the tip of Cornwall in the UK, from the perspective of Police Sergeant Colin Taylor.

Gogglebox producer Studio Lambert aims to make a primetime, returnable series from Taylor’s book, with rights acquired from Jonathan Sissons at literary agent Peters Fraser and Dunlop.

Studio Lambert recently launched its drama arm with a first commission for the BBC’s Three Girls, which is already in production.
