Konami’s 4K hires VIMN alum

Japanese producer and distributor 4K Media has appointed a former Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) exec as its director of programme sales.

Yu-Gi-Oh!

Jonitha Keymoore, who takes up the role immediately, will be based in New York and will be responsible for all broadcast and home video licensing for the company.

She will report to Kristen Gray, senior VP of operations, business and legal affairs at 4K, which is a subsidiary of Japan’s Konami Digital Entertainment and manages the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise outside Asia.

Yu-Gi-Oh! started as a manga series and now spans animated TV series, feature films and video games.

Gray said Keymoore’s “solid relationships with traditional and emerging media platforms in both the domestic and international marketplace combined with her keen talents for matching content to market segments” would help the company expand the Yu-Gi-Oh! brand.

Prior to joining 4K, Keymoore was director of acquisitions at Cinedigm and has also worked as manager of programme sales for VIMN and Broadway Video.
