Estonia’s Kanal 2 has made a double order of Prime Entertainment Group documentaries focused on Nazi Germany and the Second World War.
Einsatzgruppen: The Nazi Death Squads (4×52’) and Hitler is My Neighbour (1×60′) will both be shown by the privately owned broadcaster, which offers foreign productions and movies from around the world.
Einsatzgruppen: The Nazi Death Squads follows the phase of ‘the Shoa by bullets’ during World War II. As the armies of the Third Reich invaded USSR, mobile commandos the Einsatzgruppen followed their advance with the mission of eliminating the Jewish population.
Hitler is my Neighbour tells the story of Edgar Feuchtwanger, who lived across the street from Hitler as a schoolboy in Munich and who knew the fear and the dread shared by all German Jews witnessing the ascent of the dictator.
Both documentaries have appeared on channels including France 2, Polsat in Poland, Societe Radio Canada, and DK4 in Denmark.
