Kaleidoscope doc dissects comedy

UK-based Kaleidoscope Film Distribution (KFD) has picked up a documentary that offers an insight into what makes the comedy mind tick.

Misery Loves Comedy, which was showcased at the Sundance Film Festival, is directed by Kevin Pollak and features A-list stars such as Tom Hanks, Matthew Perry, Jon Favreau, Jimmy Fallon, Judd Apatow, Lisa Kudrow and Kevin Smith.

Tribeca Film in the US has also acquired the show, which will be shown at MipTV and will feature alongside KFD’s other new documentary acquisitions, All American High Revisited and Hustlers Convention.
