Job Description:

An exciting opportunity to join a successful TV Distribution company, responsible for the worldwide distribution of the Avalon Group’s scripted and non-scripted programmes and formats.  
 
The Role:
Distributing Avalon’s programmes and formats in all media in territories to be allocated according to experience
  • Maximising sales of the group’s current and up-coming scripted and non-scripted content, as well as exploiting over 3,000 hours of catalogue;
  • Researching the market and potential buyers;
  • Compiling availability lists, tailored to specific buyers;
  • Presenting and pitching to buyers;
  • Contributing to Avalon Distribution’s marketing and press initiatives;
  • Negotiating deals and being involved in contract negotiations relating to those deals;
  • Compiling regular sales reports.

Job Requirements:

Personal attributes:
  • Tenacious, visionary, creative, commercially-minded self-starter;
  • Enjoys being involved in all aspects of sales, including building business relationships, exploring new sales opportunities and conceiving marketing initiatives;
  • Works collaboratively within a team to achieve common goals;
  • A keen interest in, and broad knowledge of television programmes and formats;
  • Natural negotiator;
  • Derives satisfaction from initiating a deal and seeing it through to conclusion.

Experience:
  • At least two years’ sales experience;
  • Putting together sales pitches tailored to specific buyers;
  • Negotiating and understanding licence agreements;
  • Compiling sales reports.
 
Salary according to experience plus incentive bonus.
