Job Description:

The Manager of Ad Sales Marketing is one of the primary liaisons between the network and national ad sales, sales, and is responsible for:
  • Managing the day-to-day of sponsorship based marketing (RFP process) and ensure that *Network* value proposition and brand voice is infused through all
  • Managing the sponsorship fulfillment process, including detailed communication between internal production teams and client in a timely manner
  • Work with network Creative Services team to ideate, develop and deliver sponsorable and custom added value elements
  • Proactively identify new ways to monetize the network and create the tools necessary for the sales team to do so
  • Creating tools that establish an on-going dialogue with the sales marketplace (promotions, stunts, digital trade marketing, Upfront campaign, trade marketing)
  • The Sales Marketing Manager will successfully implement tactics that show the value of a sponsorship on *Network* multiple platforms

Responsibilities
  • Create multi-platformed client proposals that both meet client campaign goals and enhance on-going programming and brand initiatives
  • Serve as brand ambassador ensuring that all pitches filter through the WE tv brand filter
  • Act as a liaison between sales and other departments at the channel level (original programming, marketing, scheduling, digital)
  • Coordinate execution and fulfillment of all sold branded entertainment deals across all platforms. These elements may include in show product integration, customized on-air marketing elements, oversight of production shoots, on-ground brand activations and digital/social media integration
  • Track and report Sales Marketing fulfillment and department budget on a monthly basis
  • Proactively seek new ways to monetize the network on-air, digital and develop the tools that empower the sales force to sell them
  • Create, manage and disseminate the library of sales materials: one-sheets, decks and premiums
  • Develop production requests, design and maintain production schedules, manage production process ensuring deadlines are met and projects are delivered on time
  • Manage the Digital Sales Marketing opportunities, including updating all sales materials and overseeing fulfillment on branded campaigns
  • Manage sponsor presence at *Network* events

Decision Making/Accountability
  • Work with sales/clients to obtain approvals on all sponsor creative
  • Work with marketing to determine prod costs – track cost per sale
  • Managing deadlines on production/creative/client approval
  • Oversee branded entertainment productions on behalf of sales

Job Requirements:

Qualifications
  • Project Management/Media/Production Skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Teamwork – must be highly collaborative
  • Project Management - ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong written and oral communication skills – ability to communicate clearly and effectively and with a diverse group is a must
  • A clear understanding of the importance of client service is required
  • High level of energy and commitment
  • Creative thinking and ability to generate out-of-the-box ideas/concepts
  • Must be able to work with other internal divisions and external contacts/vendors under tight deadlines to develop and execute sponsorship elements
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times

Technical/Functional Competencies
  • Ability to understand, interpret and communicate clear business objectives
  • A knowledge of television production is required
  • Strong business writing skills
  • Problem solving
  • Excellent computer skills, including Power Point, Word and Excel are required

Key Experiences
  • 3-5 years in cable entertainment (preferably sales marketing or network consumer marketing/production)
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A base knowledge of media sales is preferred
