Job Description:

20th Century Fox seeks an experienced Sr. Sales Manager with an outstanding track record in television distribution sales and a passion for the format business, to help us grow our existing international format business. We are looking for someone who is skilled, highly motivated and responsible for the day to day format licensing opportunities for all 20th Century Fox scripted and unscripted formats. This position is located at the Los Angeles offices and reports to the VP, Format Licensing.

Division Description
20th Century Fox Film is one of the world's largest producers and distributors of motion pictures. 20th Century Fox Film produces, acquires and distributes motion pictures throughout the world. These motion pictures are produced or acquired by the following units of 20th Century Fox Film: Twentieth Century Fox, Fox 2000 Pictures, Fox Searchlight Pictures, Fox International Productions and Twentieth Century Fox Animation.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Pitch Formats, negotiate and close deals with broadcasters, international production companies & digital platforms globally
  • Increase sales of format programming with an emphasis on Europe
  • Up to date knowledge of television distribution industry, format trends and ability to drive format revenues
  • Experience generating leads, following industry trends, closing new business and achieving group goals
  • Write proposals, negotiate license fees, draft term sheets and work closely with legal for license agreements
  • Achieve the best commercial terms for localized formats and re-licensing of formats
  • A network of strong relationships, ability to grow relationships and an excellent reputation with the international media community
  • Work closely with the 20th Century Fox international sales offices for format sales (across six regions)
  • A team player, who is organized, has the ability to collaborate, prioritize, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrate best studio business practices and sales methods for the Format business

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and at least 5-7 years’ experience in international format Sales & Distribution, preferably with scripted format experience
  • Experienced sales executive with an outstanding track record in international distribution with strong expertise in formats
  • Have a passion for format sales and the ability to do business with clients of diverse cultures and backgrounds
  • Strong knowledge of international television business, global broadcasters and international production companies
  • Comprehensive knowledge of legal agreements with broadcasters and/or production companies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a good communicator and attention to detail
  • Preferably speak more than one language fluently
  • Must be willing and able to travel internationally
