Job Description:

Your primary role will be to maximise channel distribution and revenue generation from affiliate Pay TV platforms whilst also supporting the Ad Sales team securing broader distribution for Scripps Channels in the Western European markets (Ireland, France, Benelux, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Turkey, Israel and sub-Saharan Africa).

As part of your role you will be working closely with internal stakeholders such as the SVP of Commercial and VP of Affiliate Sales. This will consist of overseeing areas such as budgeting, forecasting and KPI's in a period of dynamic growth for the business.

The Key Duties
 
  • Meet and exceed annual affiliate distribution revenue targets
  • Work with VP Affiliate Sales, EMEA on preparation and maintenance of documents for budgets, sales targets, monthly reports and bi-weekly pipelines
  • Co-ordinating the sales process from sales materials preparation/presentation, deal and contract negotiation, as well as client deal aftercare
  • Create and develop new business proposals, conduct negotiations, secure new business
  • Client Management – maintain and continually develop business relationships with existing clients especially with key affiliates
  • Agency management
  • Monitoring local markets and identifying new distribution opportunities across all linear and non-linear platforms
  • Working with programming, marketing, legal, finance and technical departments to ensure negotiated contract terms are satisfactory, deliverable and serviceable

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years sales experience in the pay TV market with experience in linear and non-linear content sales - preferably experience in markets this role will be responsible for
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Presentation skills
  • Negotiation skills
  • Experience in sales strategy planning including deal analysis
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills (Vlookups, WhatIF)
  • Strong interest in the media, international business and lifestyle content
  • Able to travel
  • Team player - forging strong internal/external relationships
  • Confident communicator
  • Language skills preferable
