Animé brand races into US

Scan2Go (52×30′), the racing-themed Japanimation toon that airs across Southern Europe, has found a home on US cable television.

The animé brand will enter the US this fall, with the series airing on Turner Broadcasting System-owned Cartoon Network and toy products launching through manufacturer MGA Entertainment.

Cartoon Network acquired the show from Canada’s Cookie Jar Entertainment, which has TV distribution rights in North and South America.

The toon comes from Japan’s D-Rights, the Middle East’s NewBoy FZCO, Korea’s SBS Contents Hub and LA-based investor Stonebridge Capital. It is currently broadcast on Clan TV in Spain, Canal Panda in Portugal and K2 in Italy.
