ITVS America to mine talent agency

The US arm of ITV Studios (ITVS) has signed a first-look deal with talent and literary agency Intellectual Artist Management (IAM) to develop scripted and unscripted television series.

The two companies have also jointly hired Tony Sabistina as a development executive to work alongside ITVS America’s manager of scripted television, Brian Segna, on a slate of projects based on IAM’s IP.

ITVS America is keen to expand its slate of scripted content following its work on formats such as Hell’s Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares in the US.

IAM claims to have one of the largest libraries of IP in the business and also has its own content production company. The firm has been behind shows including Amazon’s Bosch and Red Arrow International’s 100 Code.

ITVS America president Orly Adelson described IAM as a “powerhouse in the talent and literary world” and said that the partnership would help the company expand its scripted and non-scripted slates.

David Guillod, partner and CEO at IAM, added: “We see this relationship with ITVS America as a natural and smart fit in our aggressive growth of our literary and talent business, as well as an opportunity to continue to increase our global vision in the packaging of our source material into international and domestic television.”

ITVS America has an existing partnership with the US arm of UK-based rights owner and prodco Komixx Entertainment to develop scripted content together.
