ITV2 finds love in Israel

An Israeli dating format due to make its debut this summer on US broadcast network CBS has been picked up for a local adaptation by UK diginet ITV2.

The programme, called Three, is a reality dating series in which a trio of single women help each other find true love.

It originally aired on Israeli network Keshet Broadcasting, produced by Kastina Productions. The CBS version is coproduced by Magical Elves, 1492 Television and Keshet.

Transatlantic prodco Studio Lambert will now make an eight-part series for ITV2, with Emma Willis hosting.

Hundreds of men will “audition” for the three women, who each choose six men they would like to date. The men are then eliminated one-by-one during the series.

Angela Jain, director of digital channels and acquisitions at ITV said Three had “already proven itself to be a hit format.”

The series was commissioned by Kate Maddigan, commissioner of entertainment at ITV. Studio Lambert’s Tania Alexander will exec produce.

Meanwhile, free-TV broadcaster ITV1 has confirmed plans for Fool Britannia, a new comedy series presented by Dom Joly (Trigger Happy TV). It will be produced by ITV Studios, with Lee Connolly exec producing and Greg Bower series producing.
