ITV Studios unveils MipTV formats

ITV Studios will launch 14 new formats covering reality, entertainment, quizshows and factual at MipTV in April.

The slate was revealed to buyers today and brings together formats from production outfits around the world under the ITV Studios banner.

It is led by 10,000 BC from The Garden and Group M Entertainment. The show follows 20 people who have agreed to give up everything and live in the wilderness as a Stone Age community. It was the first joint commission for Channel 5 and MTV in the UK following the takeover of C5 by MTV parent Viacom last year.

The Garden has also produced Saved, which charts heroic attempts to save the lives of others in extraordinary circumstances.

Get Your Act Together, from ITV Studios, sees celebrities master various acts with the help of experts, while Seven Days With…, from factual arm Shive, invites viewers to spend a week behind closed doors with celebrity couples.

Bargain Battle, produced by ITV Studios Nordic, sees two hosts compete to find the best selection of bargains to a specific brief – for instance, a couple needing to decorate a new baby’s bedroom. Imago’s My Child, Your Child follows two sets of parents and records viewer reactions to their opposing parenting styles.

Other shows on the slate include Potato’s Go Mad In…, which challenges a boy band to take over a beach bar in a fashionable location, while Judge Rinder, from ITV Studios, attempts to resolve civil disputes between exes and neighbours.

Danish format My Body Shock, originally produced by United for DR3, looks at skin damage from too much sun, tattoos gone wrong, severe weight gain and botched cosmetic surgery.
