ITV Studios poaches ESG’s Dalton

ITV Studios Global Entertainment (ITVSGE) has hired Endemol Shine Group (ESG)’s Central and Eastern Europe sales chief to join its global formats team.

Pascal Dalton has joined the sales arm of the UK commercial broadcaster today from ESG, where he was regional sales director for CEE.

As VP of global format sales, Dalton will have responsibility for ITVSGE’s worldwide formats strategy, including building on its current production partnerships and exploring new opportunities internationally.

Dalton, who joined Endemol in 2009, is being replaced by Natalie Bushaeva, who was most recently ESG’s sales manager for CEE. She will take on Dalton’s territories and management duties and will split some of the sales responsibilities with Tatjana Kostovski, who has been promoted to sales coordinator.

Maria Makedonskaya will continue managing regional commercial affairs including digital and ancillary business and will add North African format management to her responsibilities.

Separately, Ella Umansky has been promoted to head of formats support at ITV Studios. Umansky, who joined ITV Studios in 2013, will work alongside Dalton to help support the productions created by format sales.

Both will report to Mike Beale whose role was expanded recently to MD, Nordics and global creative network at ITV Studios.

“Pascal’s appointment is an important step for our formats strategy,” said Beale. “It will allow us to really build on our collaborative potential worldwide and, together with Ella, will ensure that our creative teams are aligned with our distribution approach and vice versa.”

In related news, Hungarian broadcaster RTL Klub has commissioned a fifth season of the ITV Studios show I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!. The 16th season of the show aired on ITV in the UK last year.
