ITV Studios gets Carter for Shiver

ITV Studios-owned factual label Shiver has appointed the CEO of Warner Bros-owned Twenty Twenty Television to succeed Alexander Gardiner.

Tim Carter

Tim Carter will join the firm as MD next year, once a successor has taken over his role at Twenty Twenty.

The appointment comes after Gardiner, Shiver’s MD and an exec with ITV Studios for the past 22 years, announced his departure earlier this year.

Shiver has offices in London, Manchester and Leeds and produces ITV shows such as Come Dine With Me, Peston on Sunday and the recently commissioned Last Laugh in Vegas.

Carter directly oversees much of Twenty Twenty’s output, including Channel 4’s First Dates and the BBC’s The Choir franchise.

The exec has spent the past decade with Twenty Twenty, which is also behind shows such as World’s Strictest Parents, The Hoarder Next Door and Garrow’s Law.

“Shiver has scale and creativity, a powerful combination, and the foundations to continue to grow. I’ve had a great time at Twenty Twenty and remain committed to the company until I assume my post at Shiver,” said Carter.
