ITV programming team rejigged

ITV in the UK has reshuffled its programming department after strategy director David Bergg revealed he would be leaving the broadcaster.

Bergg, ITV’s director of programme strategy, leaves early next year and will be replaced by Rosemary Newell, the company’s head of digital channels and acquisitions.

Paul Mortimer, controller of digital channels, will take over from Newell and report to her.

Bergg has worked in TV for more than 30 years, including stints at pubcaster the BBC, Channel 5 and Sky. His credits include the launch of hit quizshow Who Wants to be a Millionaire? and entertainment format I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!.
