ITV packs for Shirley Valentine Summer

UK commercial broadcaster ITV has ordered an eight-part series that will see eight female celebrities travel to Greece.

The Shirley Valentine Summer (working title, 4×60’) will follow the group as they head to the Greek islands, rediscovering themselves and looking for love.

The show is being produced by ITV-owned UK factual prodco Twofour and has been commissioned by Jane Beacon and Clare Ely. The executive producer is David Clews, with the programme’s airdate yet to be confirmed.

In related news, ITV2 has commissioned another two seasons of its Weekender franchise with a boat party spin off from Twofour and Motion Content Group.

Twofour and Motion Content are working on two seasons of The Ibiza Weekender (20×60′) and The Weeekender Boat Party (6×60′).

The series follows a group of holiday reps dealing with their guests. The spin off will see previous favourite Weekender reps working aboard a yacht as tour party hosts.
