ITV moves into Plimsoll’s Mansion

UK commercial broadcaster ITV has commissioned reality series Big Family Mansion from Grant Mansfield’s fledgling indie Plimsoll Productions.

The series brings different generations of a family under one roof to test how they cope with multi-generational living. The format will air in 2015.

Richard Klein, director of factual, and Jo Clinton-Davies, controller of factual, commissioned the show.

It follows the channel’s order of Plimsoll’s one-off documentary Prom Crazy: Frocks and Ferraris (1×60’) in August.

Former Zodiak USA chief Mansfield launched Plimsoll in September last year, opening offices in Bristol and London. The firm focuses on reality and wildlife programming for UK and US broadcasters and recently produced the Hugh Dennis hybrid comedy format You Should See My Family for BBC.

Former Discovery and BBC exec Andrew Jackson joined the company as its new exec VP of international production in August.
