ITV, Keshet book Celebrity Showmance

Celebrity Showmance makes use of social media reaction

ITV2 in the UK has commissioned a comedy gameshow format from the British production arm of Keshet International.

Celebrity Showmance (6×60’) challenges three unlikely celebrity couples to complete ridiculous challenges that attract maximum social media attention.

Keshet UK is producing the series in which the public are the unwitting judges, with each ‘like’ or comment counting as points for the competing couples.

The show was ordered by ITV’s head of digital channels and acquisitions Paul Mortimer. It was commissioned by ITV factual entertainment commissioner Satmohan Panesar.

The format was devised by Keshet UK’s David Williams, who serves as its creative director, with Susan Maxwell as executive producer and Sarah Church as series producer.

Keshet International will distribute the series and debut it to international buyers at Mipcom.
