UK diginet ITV3, traditionally the home of classic British drama, has picked up Canadian wartime scripted series Bomb Girls.

The six-part series, produced by Muse Entertainment and Back Alley Films, follows a group of women as they work in a munitions factory making bombs during the Second World War.

It is written by Michael MacLennan, who exec produces with Michael Prupas, Janis Lundman and Adrienne Mitchell.

Prupas, CEO of Muse Entertainment, negotiated the deal with Sasha Breslau, head of acquired series for ITV.

Bomb Girls originally aired on Canadian network Global earlier this year and has been picked up for a second season. It has also been sold to Dutch pay-TV net Cello and US cable network Reelz.
