ITV Choice crowns Victoria

ITV’s Asian and Middle Eastern entertainment network ITV Choice is set to broadcast new period drama Victoria.

The eight-parter, made by Poldark indie Mammoth Screen and written by Daisy Goodwin, follows the early life of the UK’s longest reigning monarch, who leaves childhood behind when she ascends the throne at the age of 18.

It will premiere on ITV Choice on Tuesday September 6, opening with a 90-minute episode, followed by seven one-hour instalments.

Victoria launched on ITV in UK on Sunday August 28 and attracted a peak of 6.1 million viewers.
