National Geographic Channels International, Austria’s Servus TV and Kanal 7 in Turkey are among the networks to have picked up Snow Monkeys (1×60′).

The doc, which follows the exploits of a troop of the animals living in the frigid valleys of Japan’s Shiga Highlands, has also been picked up by European public broadcasters.

These include Rai in Italy, France Télévisions, NRK in Norway, DR in Denmark and SVT in Sweden. The show was produced by New York-based Thirteen Productions for PBS in the US.

Meanwhile, Sky Vision has sold Nature’s Treasure Island (4×60′) to broadcasters including PBS in the US, SBS in Australia, Thai PBS and Nerit TV in Greece.

The series follows explorer Stewart McPherson from the sub-Antarctic to the tropics and the equator as he tries to become the first person to visit all 14 British Overseas Territories.

Finally, Blue Ant Media in Canada, Servus TV, Hungary’s AMC Networks, Telewizja Polska, Al Rayan in Dubai and Nerit TV are among the channels to have picked up The Secret Routes of Migratory Birds (1×60′).

The France Télévisions doc sees one man lead a group of young geese on their first migration in an attempt to discover why fewer birds are making the journey.
