Int’l nets hitch a Ride Upon The Storm

The second run of Ride Upon The Storm debuts at MipTV

MIPTV: South African pay TV broadcaster Mnet and Australian pubcaster SBS are among the channels to have bought relationship drama Ride Upon The Storm from French distribution outfit StudioCanal.

TVNZ in New Zealand, RTÉ in Ireland, LRT in Lithuania and RTVS in Slovakia have also taken the series, which will air in French- and German-speaking Europe on cultural broadcaster Arte.

A second season is being launched at MipTV this week, bringing the total number of episodes available to 20×60’.

Set in Denmark, Ride Upon The Storm deals with the multi-faceted relationships within a family. It was originally coproduced by Danish pubcaster DR with Arte France and SAM le Français, and is written and created by Bafta winner Adam Price (Borgen).
