Int’l nets go wild for Kratts

Broadcasters in France, Portugal and the Middle East have acquired animated nature series Wild Kratts, which was recently commissioned for a fourth season.

Pubcaster France Télévisions, Canal Panda in Portugal and E Junior in the United Arab Emirates have all acquired the series, which is a coproduction between Canada’s 9 Story Entertainment and The Kratt Brothers Company.

Original broadcaster PBS Kids recently ordered another 26 half-hours of the show, which the US pubcaster will begin rolling out in late 2015.

The series, which was created and developed by a pair of real life brothers and zoologists, is distributed internationally by 9 Story Media Group.

Other broadcasters to have picked up the toon include Discovery Kids in Latin America and Asia, Super RTL in Germany, TV3 in Spain and VRT in Belgium.
