Studio Film Bilder’s Animanimals

A non-dialogue animated series from German prodco Studio Film Bilder has been acquired by broadcasters and platforms from around the world.

Animanimals has been picked up by iQiyi in China, SVT in Sweden, Discovery Kids MENA, Hopster and Canada’s Télé-Québec and Knowledge Network.

The 26×4′ series has also been bought by Tata Sky in India, PTS Taiwan, YLE in Finland, NRK in Norway, Jim Jam in EMEA and Russia and TVNZ in New Zealand.

The show, in which different animals face absurd adventures with surprise endings, is coproduced with German children’s channel KiKa and regional German broadcaster SWR.

It was created by animator and director Julia Ocker and is distributed by London-based Meta Media Entertainment. The project was pitched by Stuttgart-based Studio Film Bilder at Cartoon Forum in Toulouse in 2015.
