Insurrection taps Zodiak lawyer

US-based Insurrection Media has appointed the general counsel at Zodiak Americas to oversee the company’s in-house production division and legal affairs.

Deborah Henderson will fill the newly created role of general counsel and head of production at LA-based Insurrection, where she will handle all aspects of corporate, legal and business affairs.

The senior exec will also be responsible for the launch and supervision of the company’s production arm, which focuses on digital video content.

The company targets scripted shows at over-the-top video platforms as well as broadcast and cable networks and has a production partnership with The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman.

Henderson has experience as a lawyer and producer, having served in senior roles in business affairs and legal for DisneyToon Studios prior to joining Zodiak in 2013. She is also an Emmy-nominated producer, with over a dozen films for television to her credit before she become a lawyer.
