Indonesia goes for Globo dramas

An Indonesian broadcaster has picked up a trio of telenovelas from Brazilian broadcast giant Globo TV.

Kompas TV has acquired The Life We Lead, which has now been licensed in more than 70 countries and tells the story of a promising tennis player who falls into a coma.

The show was recently part of Globo’s first deal with a broadcaster in Pakistan.

Kompas TV has also picked Tangled Hearts, about the conflicts between a group of young people, some of whom met as children in a foster home, as well as India: A Love Story, which follows a young Hindu executive who lives between the values of the East and the West.

Globo TV produced and distributes all three series and has dubbed them into Indonesian. The Life We Lead will make its debut in Indonesia later this month, while the two other telenovelas will begin airing next year.
