IM Global Television has agreed to handle international broadcast rights to animated TV special Michael Jackson’s Halloween.
The one-hour special is a computer-animated adventure that features Jackson’s iconic music on its soundtrack.
The show will premiere in the fall on CBS in the US and has been created and produced by Optimum Productions, which is owned by the Michael Jackson estate. Animation is by US-based Hammerhead.
John Branca and John McClain, co-executors of The Estate of Michael Jackson, serve as executive producers while Daniel Chuba is the producer and Mark A Z Dippé is the director.
The show follows two millennials who meet accidentally on Halloween night and find themselves at a mysterious hotel where they are sent on an unexpected adventure of personal discovery.
IM Global Television, a joint venture between studio IM Global, Chinese digital giant Tencent and Tang Media Partners, previously handled international sales for Optimum’s 2016 doc Michael Jackson’s Journey from Motown to Off the Wall.
