Hulu plugs into Starz’s Power

US-based Hulu has picked up streaming rights to drug drama Power, the hit show executive produced by rapper Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson that airs on US network Starz.

Power centres on a wealthy nightclub owner who caters to New York City’s elite while leading a double life in the city’s drugs trade.

Hulu has taken rights to the first two seasons, and will make the third available later this year.

The show, which has been greenlit for fourth and fifth seasons, is produced by CBS Television Studios with Jackson, Mark Canton and Randall Emmett as exec producers under showrunner Courtney Kemp Agboh, writer and producer of The Good Wife.

G-Unit Films and Television, the production company launched by Jackson, is also a producer on the project, while Starz owner Lionsgate distributes globally.
