Hit veteran Westman to head Nelvana

Corus Entertainment in Canada has appointed a former executive VP of Hit Entertainment to oversee its commercial arm Nelvana Enterprises.

Pam Westman’s arrival at Nelvana follows the departure of Andrew Kerr, who has been co-head of the company since 2011.

Westman will oversee brand development and management across the Nelvana portfolio, including retail management, licensing, consumer products, content sales and digital on a global basis.

She will report to Scott Dyer, president of Nelvana, while Antoine Erligmann, who heads Nelvana’s European office, will report to Westman.

Westman, most recently director of integration for retail chain Staples Canada, previously led the Canadian, US and Latin American divisions of Bob the Builder owner Hit until 2012.

“As we focus on the continued growth of our international business and our strategy to own more content, convincing Pam to return to her roots in brand management was a real coup for Nelvana,” said Dyer.
