Al Murray: Why Does Everyone Hate The English? will air on History in the autumn

A+E Networks UK has ordered a five-part factual series featuring comedian Al Murray that explores historical feuds.

Al Murray: Why Does Everyone Hate The English? (5×60’) is from UK-based Avalon and will be broadcast on A+E’s UK network History this autumn.

The show will follow Murray as he finds out what lies behind England’s greatest feuds with its closest neighbours: Wales, Scotland, Ireland, Germany and France.

The series has been commissioned and executive produced by Dan Korn, VP of programming at A+E Networks UK, with Diana Carter, commissioning editor and head of talent at A+E Networks UK.

Korn said: “There has never been a more important time to get under the skin of what it means to be English and revisit the state of relations with our nearest neighbours.”
