History takes war into space

Factual network History will send viewers into space with a new documentary that examines the role the US played in the Second World War from a unique viewpoint.

World War II from Space, produced by UK indie October Films, will seek to offer fresh insight into the part the US played in the Allied victory using visual effects to present the conflict – and its defining moments such as Pearl Harbor and D-Day – from thousands of miles above Earth.

The one-off doc is produced by October Films for History. Julian P Hobbs exec produces for History with Adam Bullmore and Matt Robins at October.

It will premiere in the US on Friday December 7 at 21.00 EST.
