HGTV finds more Flip or Flop

Scripps-owned US cablenet HGTV has ordered an extended 20-episode season of its property series Flip or Flop despite the show’s stars separating.

Flip or Flop hosts Tarek and Christina El Moussa

The series, which is entering its seventh season, follows Tarek and Christina El Moussa, who buy, renovate and sell homes for profit in Southern California.

The show had been expected to end after the couple revealed they were separating, and Scripps recently ordered a number of spin-off shows set in different US cities with new host couples. But the new season has now been scheduled to air in December.

It is produced by US prodco Pie Town Productions and has spawned spin-offs based in Chicago, Fort Worth and Nashville that will air in 2018.
