HBO sticks with comedies

HBO in the US has renewed two of its comedy series, Veep and Silicon Valley, for fourth and second seasons respectively.

Created by Armando Iannucci (The Thick of It, In the Loop), Veep stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Seinfeld) as the vice president of the US.

Silicon Valley is a collaboration between Alec Berg (Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm) and Mike Judge (Office Space, King of the Hill) and is partially inspired by Judge’s own experiences as a Silicon Valley engineer in the late 1980s.

The additions follow HBO’s two-season renewal of Game of Thrones earlier this month.
