HBO raids movies for drama exec

HBO in the US is expanding its drama team with the addition of a movie exec from American prodco Indian Paintbrush.

Nora Skinner becomes senior VP of programming for the US premium cablenet and will oversee the development and production of existing series and new productions. She will be based in Santa Monica and will report to Michael Ellenberg, HBO’s exec VP of programming.

Skinner was most recently exec VP of production and development at Indian Paintbrush, exec producing shows including Me and Earl and The Dying Girl, as well as Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close. Before that she was senior VP of development at Scott Rudin Productions (Moneyball, The Social Network).

Ellenberg said Skinner would bring “a wealth of experience working with some of the finest talents in the business, in addition to her exceptional skills with story and a great eye for talent and material.”
