HBO Europe bags All3Media dramas

Clique comes from Skins creator Bryan Elsley

HBO Europe has acquired three primetime dramas from distributor All3Media International, including six-part BBC Scotland/BBC3 thriller Clique.

The deal for the trio covers pay TV rights in Central and Eastern Europe, plus SVoD rights for HBO Nordic in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland, and Spain.

Clique, from Skins creator Bryan Elsley, is a BBC Studios and Balloon Entertainment coproduction for BBC Scotland/BBC3 in the UK.

It centres on two childhood soulmates who, only a few weeks into university life, are drawn into an elite clique of alpha girls, only to find the seductive world deeply corrupted.

HBO Europe has also acquired Rellik, created and written by Harry and Jack Williams (The Missing) and starring Richard Dormer (Game of Thrones) and Jodi Balfour (The Crown).

Produced by New Pictures and Two Brothers Pictures for BBC1 in the UK and Cinemax in the US in association with All3Media International, the six-part thriller tells the story of a serial killer in reverse.

The third show is Liar, a six-part emotional thriller for ITV in the UK and SundanceTV in the US, starring Joanne Froggatt (Downton Abbey) and Ioan Gruffudd (Forever).
