Gurney’s Ghosts haunt WE

US cablenet WE TV has ordered a paranormal docuseries that claims to combine humour with the supernatural from the prodco behind Duck Dynasty.

Ghosts in the Hood follows a group of diverse ghost hunters as they investigate unexplained phenomena across LA.

It’s being produced by ITV-owned Gurney Productions and is executive produced by prodco founders Scott Gurney and Deirdre Gurney.

The 6×60′ show will debut on January 5 and follows the ghost-hunting team as they respond to different clients’ concerns in an attempt to root out the cause of the activity.

Marc Juris, WE TV president, said: “While they take the job seriously, they don’t take themselves too seriously, making for a ghost-hunting series unlike anything else that’s out there.”
