The first fruit of the alliance between Los Angeles prodco Gurin Company and France’s Coyote Conseil is now in production and will air on French DTT channel NRJ12 before Christmas.
La Main (The Hand) is a gameshow described as “a classic elimination-style competition, featuring 12 players competing to win a new car.”
In a show similar to the Touch the Truck/Hands on a Hardbody format, the contestants must keep one hand on the car while facing various challenges. The winner is the last person with one hand remaining on the car.
Phil Gurin (pictured) said the show was a “test of endurance, perseverance and cunning that will bring out instinctual game play in the contestants, making for great television that translates into any language or culture.”
“This came out of creative discussions I had with Coyote dating back to our earliest creative collaboration years ago. It finally came to fruition this year,” said Gurin, who has UK and US distribution rights to La Main.
