Gurin appoints production chief

The Gurin Company has hired the exec in charge of production on Simon Fuller’s new Jennifer Lopez-fronted series ¡Q’Viva as head of production.

Javier Winnik joins the US maker of Shark Tank in the newly created role. He worked on a number of earlier Gurin shows including The Singing Bee and in between times was also co-exec producer for The Marriage Ref.

The company has also added TLC development co-ordinator Ashleigh Di Tonto as manager of development.

The appointments come as Gurin gears up for a fourth season of Singing Bee on CMT and new musical chairs-themed gameshow Oh Sit! for The CW.
