GSN travels for Baggage

US cablenet Game Show Network (GSN) has ordered a spin-off to dating series Baggage that will see talkshow host Jerry Springer travel the US pairing up couples.

Baggage On The Road (20×30′) sees contestants meeting three potential partners who have unusual physical or emotional characteristics. They must then choose their preferred date before veteran presenter Springer reveals the contestant’s own emotional or physical ‘baggage’.

The series is being produced by NBCUniversal-owned prodco Wilshire Studios, with Lisa Tucker (Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D List) attached as executive producer.

It will travel to cities including Austin, Texas and Baton Rouge, Louisiana in October, and will premiere on GSN in 2015.

GSN recently added to its slate of original programming by ordering competition format The Line, from ITV-owned High Noon Entertainment.
