Graef takes role at Ten Alps

UK-based Ten Alps has appointed a renowned documentary maker to support its broadcasting, digital, communications and publishing operations.

Roger Graef will become an adviser to Peter Bertram, chairman of factual specialists Ten Alps, with a remit to increase synergy between the company’s various media divisions.

He is known for shows including criminal series Police for the BBC as well as Great Ormond Street for BBC2 and multi-platform projects including Web lives!, the first online documentary series for ITV.

As a result of his appointment, Graef will step back from daily operations at Films of Record, where he is chairman. The company, founded by Graef in 1979, was acquired by Ten Alps in 2008.

Executive producer Neil Grant will continue to manage day-to-day running of the business supported by Fiona Stourton, creative director, and Andrew McKerlie, director of production.

Ten Alps was founded by Alex Connock and musician Bob Geldof in 1998 and creates and manages multi-platform content for TV, radio, websites and online services. Connock left the company in 2011 and subsequently joined Shine Group.
