Global opens more Private Eyes

Canadian broadcaster Global has secured a second run of detective series Private Eyes with an extended 18-episode order.

The show is produced by Entertainment One (eOne) in association with Corus Entertainment. It follows two private investigators as they tackle cases while pushing their professional and private relationships.

The series, which averaged more than one million viewers per episode during its first season, will start production in Toronto this fall. eOne controls international rights.

The second season is being executive produced by TV boss John Morayniss and Tecca Crosby for eOne, as well as Shawn Piller, Lloyd Segan and Jason Priestley, among others.
