France 5, MTV Finland and Nine Network in Australia are among broadcasters in 53 territories to have picked up a show about the daily workings of a zoo.

The Secret Life of the Zoo (6×60′) was produced for Channel 4 by Blast Films in the UK and used fixed-rig cameras to capture animal behaviour and their relationships with their keepers.

TV4 in Sweden and VRT Belgium have also picked up the show from distributor Sky Vision, while format rights to the series have been acquired by production companies including Shine France.

Elsewhere, Dogs Might Fly, which challenges a dog to fly a plane, has been picked up by broadcasters including Canada’s Blue Ant Media, NTV in Japan, TV2 in Denmark, Sky Deutschland and Sky Italia. The show is produced by Oxford Scientific Films and GroupM Entertainment.

Finally, The Great Migration, which follows the perilous 650km journey made by wildebeest, has been sold to BBC Africa, Blue Ant Media, France 5 and RTVE Spain.
