Global, eOne orders suicide drama

Canadian network Global TV has ordered an original drama after partnering with transatlantic distributor and producer Entertainment One (eOne).

Mary Kills People will premiere in January 2017 and is being executive produced by Tassie Cameron (Rookie Blue) under her fledgling production company Cameron Pictures.

The six-part show has been created and written by Tara Armstrong and is set in the morally grey world of assisted suicide. It follows a nurse who helps people with terminal illnesses.

The series is being produced in association with Global parent Shaw Media, with eOne handling international distribution.
