Global Agency ropes in new format

Turkish distributor Global Agency and Israeli investment outfit TV Format Fund have joined forces to deliver a new tug-of-war gameshow format.

Tug, which will be distributed by Istanbul-based Global Agency, was created by Israeli prodco July August Productions together with Michael Rothschild, founder and CEO of Vivalet Media. TV Format Fund provided finance for the development and secured the distribution deal with Global.

The format sees teams of three standing on moving platforms and taking turns in a trivia-based tug of war.

The goal is to reach the final round with as much money as possible, with victory reached by pulling their opponents into the zero-line in the middle.

July August is also behind formats such as Still Standing, BOOM! and The Frame.
