Gervais preps Derek send-off

NEWS BRIEF: Ricky Gervais has called time on scripted series Derek after two seasons and will send it off with a special, as he has done with previous creations The Office and Extras.

Gervais wrote on his website that the Channel 4 comedy drama about a care-home worker, which was picked up in the US by Netflix, will not be returning for a third season, but that he is currently working on a one-off finale.
