Germany, Oz take on Ocean Warriors

Broadcasters in Europe and Australasia have picked up an environmentalist documentary series from UK distributor DRG.

Ocean Warriors premiered on Animal Planet late last year

Ocean Warriors (6×60’), from US-based Vulcan Productions, premiered on Discovery Communications-owned Animal Planet in December. The programme follows the work of young activists from around the world as they take risks to protect the oceans and confront lawbreakers.

Spiegal TV has now acquired the rights in Germany while Discovery APAC has picked up the series for Australia and New Zealand.

A separate deal has also been made with Discovery Europe that means the programme will air across the Nordic region, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
